AI agent disabled on FB and IG comments
As of today, Commslayer’s AI agent no longer replies to Facebook and Instagram comments. This covers all accounts.
Why:
Meta has started going after accounts using AI to autoreply to comments on their posts. We’ve seen bans on users of other tools, and today a Commslayer user got their account restricted too.
Meta’s notice cited their Advertising Standards on Account Integrity and listed “automations that mimic human activity” as an example of what they don’t allow.
We can’t prove it was us. But “automations that mimic human activity” was cited on Meta’s decision, and I’d rather pull the feature than roll the dice on your account. You know how hard it is to get that account back.
Switching platforms won’t help. Every tool uses the same Meta APIs and Meta is going after AI replies regardless of which app sent them.
We’ve tried to be extremely cautious from day one: low reply rates (less than 40% of total comments), long random delays (up to 20mins) and tight rate limits on number of comments being posted per hour. But Zuck is cracking down on AI commenting, and I’d rather pull the plug on the feature and lose some short-term MRR than risk your account.
What to do instead:
Turn on pre-generated AI drafts. Your team opens a comment, the draft is already there and they just hit send. AI agent → Drafts → Pre-generate drafts
What still works:
- AI agent on DMs (Instagram and Messenger)
- Auto-moderation for hiding toxic comments
- AI drafts on Meta comments, still generated for manual review
- Every other channel
Being able to enable AI agent on Meta comments is now disabled. If it was on for your account, it’s off now. We want you to keep your ad accounts.
We will likely add a rogue mode later for accounts willing to take the risk once there’s more information. For now, we’re giving Zuck what he wants.
